DESCRIPTION:This training is designed for all workers who supervise\, inspect\, or participate in rigging or hoisting operations. The course covers operational and pre-operational procedures while rigging and meets OSHA requirements for qualifying riggers and signal persons.\n\n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\n\n\nUnderstand rigging safety standards and regulations\, rigging components and devices\, inspection of equipment\, proper hitches and techniques\, and rigging best practices.\n\nKnow and understand the type of signals used. If hand signals are used\, the signal person must know and understand the standard method for hand signals.\n\nBe competent in the application of the type of signals used.\n\nHave a basic understanding of equipment operation and limitations\, including the crane dynamics involved in swinging and stopping loads and boom deflection from hoisting loads.\n\n\n\nPresenter: David Holland   Wasatch Safety Group
