SUMMARY:Traffic Control Supervisor (October 2025)
DESCRIPTION:The TCS course is designed to train those who will be actively involved in designing or setting up and maintaining temporary traffic control in a work zone. It moves from the concepts and techniques taught in the technician course to the implementation of traffic control plans and techniques for installation and removal.  Students are taught how to read and interpret plans and specifications and implement them in the field. Workshops included in the course are designed to provide real world examples in designing temporary traffic control setups and also recognizing\, analyzing and correcting deficiencies. An additional\, vital objective of this course is teaching students the skills necessary to become an effective supervisor\, capable of leading a team in the field.\n\n \n\nThis two day class is being offered in conjunction with the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA). Students who pass the test will receive a card at the end of class which will be good for four years. Lunch will be served both days.\n\n \n\nStudents must have completed the ATSSA Traffic Control Technician class within the last four years before they can enroll in this class. The Maintainer class does not qualify.\n\n \n\nAny Cancellations or change of dates 48 hours before the start of class\, will be accepted.  All no shows and cancellations after the class has occurred will be charged an extra fee of $25. Students who do not pass the test and wish to retake the test will be required to pay the ATSSA retake fee of $60.
