QPR Suicide Prevention Training - St. George (03.22.2022)
QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer. Simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to Help.
After training, participants should be able to: 1 - Recognize someone at risk for suicide. 2 - Demonstrate increased knowledge of intervention skills. 3- Describe knowledge of referral resources and how to refer someone to help.
