AGC Industry Safety Roundtable - Working in Extreme Heat - St. George (05.24.23)
The AGC Industry Safety Roundtables are a series of meetings held with a focus on safety within a specific trade or aspect of construction. Each event will include breakfast and a panel of industry experts discussing safety issues and concerns within the meetings area of focus.
WORKING IN EXTREME HEAT ROUNDTABLE:
This event will discuss new OSHA Heat Safety regulations and help employers understand the importance of protecting workers from temperature-related illnesses and injuries. We will cover the new regulations anticipated to be issued soon by OSHA and how to comply with them. We will cover topics such as recognizing the signs and symptoms of heat-related ilnesses, identifying high-risk workers, and implementing preventive measures.
In addition, we will talk about how to prepare and implement a heat safety plan and cold weather safety plan, as well as training employees on extreme temperature safety. The goal of the event is to help employers create a safe and healthy work environment for their employees, while also meeting the new OSHA Regulations.
