Built to Last Roundtable (12.2.26)
Preventing Strains, Pain & Opioid Risk in Construction Construction is physically demanding work, and minor strains and injuries can sometimes develop into chronic pain, long-term limitations, and increased risk related to pain management and substance use.
This breakfast roundtable will explore that pathway through three connected areas: injury prevention, early treatment and pain management, and intervention when opioid or other substance-use concerns arise. Hear practical perspectives from construction safety, healthcare, research, insurance, and public-health professionals, including representatives from organizations such as the University of Utah, WCF Insurance, Intermountain Health, Milwaukee Tool, Utah DHHS, and the physical therapy community.
The program will feature a series of short presentations followed by moderated discussion and audience Q&A. Breakfast provided.
