Principles of Fall Protection (09.26.18)
Falls are the leading cause of injuries and fatalities in the construction industry. Fall protection is an important part of a worker’s overall safety training. Identifying fall hazards and deciding how best to protect workers is the first step in reducing or eliminating falls on the job site.
This course is designed for all levels of leadership and will address the following fall protection topics:
Duty to have fall protection.
Guard rails. Fall restraint systems. Fall arrest systems.
Inspection, storage and maintenance of all systems.
Competent Person duties and responsibilities.
Walking Working Surfaces.
Trigger heights and fall calculations
