OSHA Voluntary Protection Program L&L (07.09.19)
The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) promote effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP, management, labor, and UOSH establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. VPP companies enjoy fewer injuries and illnesses, higher employee morale, increased employee retention, lower worker compensation costs, and a competitive advantage over non-VPP sites.
Topics to be covered include: Requirements for being a VPP company, process to apply for VPP, benefits to employers and employees, resources for the VPP journey, and best practices from current VPP companies.
